Into the Fold at Side Gallery
Tonight is the opening night of my exhibition Into the Fold. For 3 decades I've been known for my work as an illustrator and designer but in recent years I've taken a detour. My current art practice explores the pictorial language of geometric abstraction, with a primary focus on non-objective colour structures and Into the Fold is my most recent investigation into the folded form as a vehicle for colour.
As part of the exhibition there are paintings as well as aluminium, paper and acrylic sculptures (and jewellery) that explore colour, form, opacity, transparency, reflective light and fabrication. Works can be viewed on the Side Gallery website. Join me 'In Conversation' with curator Laura Brinin from 5.30pm and for opening night drinks 6-8pm tonight 7 November. Into the Fold runs until 21 November.
